I'm actually stunned but somehow not surprised by how 4 weeks (if "officer" is found in the text somewhere) or 8 weeks of online courses if not, is actually enough to become a federal agent in the USA.

As far I understood then: A stopped election process. Until he is counting or getting replaced by someone who is going to count and announce the results the protocol seems to be stuck.

My observation is, that it would be rational and logical to expect ICE troops deployed to interfere with local elections.
Local state level won't stop them with force if they do that. They will sue.
Also they would focus on cities where usually democrats vote, not rural areas, it's doable to flip.

Remember when the democratic world wondered how it can be that the vice president has to count the votes and if he would not want to do that, there is no process to finish the counting?

I have a question: Is it possible for the authorities to appoint like 3000+ temp. deputies from the population? As a police force with all the authorities, citizens from that will protect the population and make sure law and order actually happens - bc. those 600 seems not dare to do (enough).

Ich frage mich wie friedlich ein "Regierungswechsel" dort ablaufen könnte. Als ein Faktor sehe ich die Abgenzung der Elite/Privilegierten und deren Unbereitschafft die Macht abzugeben und deren Bewaffnung.
Es gab wohl schon den ersten Toten bei den Demonstratkonen.

Hatte Stalin nicht auch eine Lösung für die invaliden Veteranen im moskauer Stadtbild eine Lösung, die großen Gefallen fand? So ein nettes Örtchen auf dem Lande, wo die alle in einer Nacht abgeholt und hingefahren wurden und wo es alle "schön" hatten? Hat man sich das dann nicht erzählt?

For me Powerplay isn't all about imperialistic landgrabs. Strategically: China could gain territories if they backstab Rus and come out a bit stronger but lose a much stronger partner in world politics forever.
And who would like to become their next partners after that?
They will think twice.

I agree. For UAE: Weaken Russia means to weaken Iran. They assume a stand while still remaining in the background as increased supply isn't considered to be openly aggressive. And investing and getting along with the current fastest advancing nation Ukraine in the arms race is smart for both.
