As I write about this for Friday's "Inside the News in Colorado" newsletter, I'm torn on word choice at the moment. Is this "notable" or "remarkable." What do you think?

For a 2023 Colorado Media Project report, David Coppini from the University of Denver and I identified 52 newspapers that had closed between 2004 and 2023 statewide.

Since then, I have counted more than a dozen more, with a third of them coming from east of I-25.
