I fully agree with you. Its detrimental to eradicate the language around anything or persons, but even if these morons think eliminating the name or history- doesnt mean it doesnt exist.
Like attempting to erase US's history of slaves, doesn't mean we weren't/aren't currently a slave nation.

Just because you remove/erase words, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
