Posted by a friend of mine who grew up nearby. I love the constituents’ plan to hold their own “Messmer’s Missing” rally if he won’t hold a town hall.

As expected: GOP thinks they can do a better job picking up my garbage than my elected Mayor and Councilmembers can.

I think the appropriate strategy right now is to flood the zone. Email, call, postcard your congresspeople, congressional leadership, the White House. Constant and continuous. On every action you find objectionable and illegal. Flood the zone.

I listened to Bobby McFerrin’s 23rd Psalm on my way home from Tai chi silent practice this morning, and it seemed timely to share our Virtual Choir’s rendition from 4 years ago after a difficult week.

My favorite GOP idea cited in this Probublica article: eliminate Head of Household as a tax category. Because really, shouldn’t single parents pay more to help billionaires?

Just to be clear: Musk and Ramaswamy are acting as volunteer lobbyists. Since they are not being paid, they have no disclosure requirements. I suspect this is why they are asking for more volunteers, and not paying staff, to help them.

I had a D&C when I was 46, because I was hemorrhaging due to perimenopause . I worry about the impact of abortion bans on women’s heath care writ large. I don’t think the (mostly male) lawmakers have any idea of what sound medical practice is for women.
