I always suggest prioritizing meaningful connections, as in life, likewise in media, events, everywhere else. Having someone truly understand your work and introduce it to their audience with passion is much more valuable...

The goal is not to be in front of everyone for the sake of getting the highest viewership, follower count or clicks or... No. At least not for the scholars we work with. They are more interested in connecting with a well-aligned, intellectually curious audience, which...

I had to clarify that my advice is not to indiscriminately try to appeal to everyone just to get eyeballs on you and your book. If that was the goal, there are better ways to do it than through a publicity campaign... (TikTok dance challenges, anyone?)
