Alberta is the only province to default on their debt (1936). I am sure Trump would love them.

How about inflation expectations? I am old enough to remember the 1970s (as an Economist).

Let's apply this to investment returns: what was under the old math a 10% gain, now turns into minus 9.1%.

Now I've got a guy and his name is Dooley
He's my guy and I love him truly
He's not good lookin', heaven knows
But I'm wild about his crazy clothes
He wears tan shoes with pink shoelaces
A polka dot vest and man, oh, man
He wears tan shoes with pink shoelaces
And a big Panama with a purple hat band

May 1, 2025 at 11:34 PM
Pierre Poilievre was ahead by 27% and would have easily defeated Trudeau in an election. However, he only needed to be 5 to 7% to defeat Trudeau, but couldn't help himself and though his own vanity kept pushing Trudeau lower (and the NDP, his best friend to divide the vote.)
