A fire broke out in a bin lorry near Launceston last Friday, caused by a lithium battery.

Please help keep our crews safe. Never bin batteries. Recycle them at your local supermarket or household waste and recycling centre instead.

Firefighters gave Nigel the horse a helping hand after he got stuck in a stream.

When he didn’t come for breakfast, his owners went looking and found him in the water. Bodmin’s crew, with support from a vet, came to the rescue.

Happily, Nigel was soon back on his hooves!

#NEWS: A fleet of electric buses are now connecting communities in south-east Cornwall bringing cleaner air and quieter journeys.

The six new buses cover Route 70 on the Rame Peninsula, connecting villages including Torpoint, Millbrook and Cawsand.

The FRidedays BikeBus crew are youngsters (and their parents!) who swap four wheels for two every Friday, cycling the Saints Trail from Chiverton Bridge into Truro.

The Saints Trail provides a route for cyclists, walkers and horse riders between St Agnes and Threemilestone.
