Saw Sigur Rós last night in Amsterdam, a very different experience than the Royal Albert Hall, much more intimate compared to last week and easier to hear the orchestra (being deaf). Great venue too, a theatre originally built as a permanent horse circus space!

Here’s a snippet of Ára Bátur for you, the power of the organ was incredible - it vibrated my sternum!

It was predictably very good indeed! Two sets with the orchestra, finale then with a choir and the organ 😍

Ridiculously excited to see Sigur Rós at the RAH tonight 😍😍😍

Whenever I’m travelling west, I buy one or two of these to keep me going through the year. The 2 x 16 limit here is silly, and is not going to stop anyone seriously contemplating taking more 😔

The cupboard so far, about to get another three jars of tomato sauce. Very similar recipe to yours, without the basil and also with a chopped onion.

Here you are, taken recently when it was gorgeously clear all the way out to Worthing pier (about 12 miles away).

What does yours look like?

Dealing with glut of produce from the allotment, been busy making soups, jams, sauces, kimchi, and apple butter to use over the winter. #allotmentlife #gardening

Went to a Deaf Rave DJ workshop today, and it was *brilliant*. Run by Troi Lee (DJ Chinaman - played Glasto, Boomtown, has run Deaf Raves for years), taught us the basics of mixing, and the Woojer haptic vests were 🤯 a whole new music experience!!! 10/10 would recommend 👌

Got up to the allotment between the storms, it’s gone nuts over the last few days!! Courgettes, carrots, another kilo of beans, and several kilos of tomatoes. This weekend will be making and canning roasted tomato sauce, and cooking a batch of apple butter 😍 #allotmentlife #gardening

Fourth out of fifth festival this year, the teeny tiny @krankenhausfest.bsky.social held at Muncaster Castle in the Lake District. 1,500 people, great line up, walks, talks, bands, and friends. Very much smug festival face 😁

Had the privilege of seeing Nick Cave perform a solo show at the Ancient Theatre of Philippopolis, a Roman amphitheatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Over two and a half hours and one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to. Every song he writes has intent and means something to him and the audience. Wonderful 😍

Wandering around Sofia today, dropped in to the Church of St Nicholas the Miracle-Maker, a stunning and small Russian Orthodox Church, and then on the opposite end of the scale the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, which is big enough to give service to 5,000 people 😮

First time ever we’ve had some success with a melon. Growing it in a raised bed and so far it has escaped the slugs and snails!

I looked outside to check ours when I saw this! The one laying down is a spitting image of Mrs Gertie Bassett

Yep, cake is easier to make moist and will keep for days (if not instantly devoured!). See exhibit A) Pride unicorn Victoria sandwich made on Thursday, last sliver will be had with tea today. Top tip: adding some ground almonds in to the mix really helps moisture levels.
