Somehow great people rise up here in the wasteland anyway. Gritty, risk-taking pioneers (in spirit) resent the smug condescension of know it alls. It's the failure to acknowledge the role of chance in any success, whether it's a gusher or dry hole, that will rankle critics of the PMC the most.

My home state often feels like an intellectual wasteland. Its residents largely and openly denigrate the PMC as weak and suspiciously socialist. The PMC is viewed skeptically as not the frontier model self-made pioneer, rather it's dependent on others to feed, shelter and protect them/us.

I just read the Atlantic Article, "Trump Has Found His Class Enemy" by Franklin Foer. It left me the teeniest bit ambivalent. First of all, I absolutely love reading the Atlantic and discussing its content with PEOPLE THAT READ! And think critically. The class is the Professional Managerial Class.

First post. Gotta start. I have no idea what I was waiting for. Even though Facebook/Instagram used to be useful for business, between the present barrage of panhandlers, stalkers, and generally devious knaves that inhabit the space, there really isn't much social or business utility left in it.
