That might work for India but feeding them in places with long winter might be challenging.
Car does much more work and using less fuel volume.
Storing and transporting large volumes of hay might be challenge.

Donkeys are not like that.
They are loyal hard working animals.

Four years ago they would have ridiculed in state media every army who used donkeys in 21st century.
