The EU massively exported this Mancozeb, a fungicide, even though it has been banned for the use in the EU since 2020. Mancozeb is an endocrine disruptor and toxic to reproduction, it so negatively impacts the thyroid, fertility, pregnant women and babies.

This week #DeregulationWatch reports on the powerful intervention by UN Special Rapporteur on toxics & human rights Marcos Orellana criticising the EU's Chemicals omnibus saying “there is no compelling justification” for the proposed measures.

🚨 #PFAS pollution is not cheap, we pay the price with our health, environment and economy.

🚰 #PFAS pollution is a threat to our drinking water.

😰 Water is already under stress from climate change, and PFAS are adding to this pressure.

📣 We have launched a new #PFAS manifesto

🧪 PFAS are a group of over 10,000 chemicals and due to their longevity, pose a serious threat to human health.

🚫 A strict phase-out of all PFAS is the only way to protect current & future generations.

Very important findings.

These results show that no one escapes #PFAS contamination & that a comprehensive ban is long overdue.

It's time to stand up to the #ForeverChemicals industry lobby.

Who has the many speeches where Ursula swore simplification was not deregulation? Was not last time just a month ago for SotUE?

Dropping the pretence, then, I see.
Screencap of President of the EU Commission Ursula von der Leyen's instagram story.
Over a photo of Ursula with the EU Council, it reads:
"Copenhagen Competitiveness Summit.
Europe has strength. Europe has huge potential. But we need to unleash it.
We need simplification, we need deregulation, we need it at the European level, and we also need it at the national level."
