At this point I do not blame Biden for his decision regarding his son given what Cheeto will do with all of the January 6th people.

I had to listen with disgust this morning as a coworker talked about a child he knew that is debating suicide as a sixth grader because of the recent influx of racism they started facing in school every day from fellow students who are most likely learning this behavior from their parents.

By and large, the decision by an individual to transition has no real effect on the lives people they meet in the world. They are, for all meaningful purposes, the same person inside and it is no one else’s business to deny them that choice.

As much as I understand the constant “leopards eating people’s faces” comments I keep seeing, I have to ask what that kind of mentality really does to address the situation since the suffering of others is good for no one and often the ignorant never learn from mistakes.

I will do my best to not give up, but it gets harder every day and the real nightmare has not even started. We are only in preview season.

Have you ever actually looked at lists of banned books? Take a few minutes and check out some of the most common titles that have created controversy and be prepared to want to smash your head into your desk over a lot of them.

I see the “We Won’t Go Back” movement and feel that the phrase needs to reach beyond its original intent. This is no longer just a fight for women’s health rights, but for human rights in general.

All people, no matter their ethnicity or social standing, have the right to a proper education. Most of our states cannot fund a wide scale education system the threatened dismantling of our federal board of education will result in an increasingly ignorant population for generations to come.

I have voted blue my entire life and will continue to (assuming we even have elections in the dismal future we are looking at), but feel that as long as the DNC is mostly spineless and far too moderate little real positive change can be made.
