To allow pedophiles around children is anti-recovery.

To allow zoophiles around animals is anti-recovery.

To allow necrophiles around corpses is anti-recovery.

I am pro recovery for disordered paraphilia. I believe you can have the condition and not be an evil person. You can have any of the so called "big 3" and receive intensive care for it and never be around the things that could risk you bringing harm.

You should not be proud of wanting to fuck kids, animals, or corpses just as much as you shouldn't be proud of having homicidal ideation and wanting to murder people who deserve to have safety and life.

To encourage this idea is to embolden them and reinforce their delusions.

To want to desecrate the dead, abuse children, or abuse animals is inherently not a functional idea and very often comes with delusions that the group they're attracted to can and do consent.

These are NEVER things that can be indulged in and things that are incredibly dangerous to encourage.

However when it comes to paraphilic disorders such as Zoophilia, Pedophilia, and Necrophilia it is always disordered as the object of attraction is incapable of consent and should be treated with care. Children deserve safety, animals deserve safety, and corpses can be a sacred thing.

You can have these kinks and fetishes and be no harm to others and not meet criteria for a disorder. Some people will have disordered versions that they should get help for especially if they have urges to harm themselves or others due to it! But that's okay to indulge in *safely*

Paraphilias that have no harm when acted out in a setting that is consensual and safe (like BDSM, partialism, exhibitionism, Sadism/Masochism) and also fully risk aware (especially for edge play with things like knife play, breath play, gunplay, cutting, etc.) are something that is not disordered.
