this game was dreadful man, idk. i will say it's impressive how much better it looks than ff7 despite both being ps1 games, overall i think its the best looking of the ps1 final fantasies. also triple triad slaps i already knew this from ffxiv but it remains true.

- the opening midgar section is by far the strongest part of the game
- materia is fun (except when you have to re-equip it all cuz a party member left temporarily)

another one down. ffx was hard to rank because sometimes its incredible and sometimes its a complete slog. maybe it'll get bumped up above ff9 after i think about it more, idk; i think it has higher highs than ff9 but didnt have to capture monsters in ff9 so that goes a long way.

almost put FFT 2nd, but some of the balance issues drop it a tick for me. still difficult for me to put stuff above XIV because of just how much nostalgia i have for ARR.
it's absolutely the most consistently quality story in the series so far, though, other than maaaybe shb.

This event was really up and down for me, but I think the SWSH run was the best show I've been a part of in my life, and I'm so incredibly lucky to have everyone who made it possible in my life.
