In addition to what you can already tell (no name) the area where this elk is spawning is the first area of the game's first expansion. Enemies in this zone are supposed to be roughly level 48-52. So a level 1 enemy with no name is funny on two fronts

Usually an enemy's name is written Level (number) Name. Sometimes Level (number) Letter (if there are multiple of the same one) Name.

So like, Level 20 B Bomb, so you're fighting a Bomb B, which is Level 20.
