Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is a good open world, a mediocre rpg, and an utterly irredeemable adaptation of Andrezj Sapkowski's Witcher novels. 90% of bad takes about the series can be traced back to the CD Projekt Red writing room.

Digital Extremes is a lot like Riot, in that they want to be a music studio, but different in that they are much better at it.

I think the conceit of unreliable narrators and in-universe historiography, while interesting, doesnt work well enough to counter act the very structure of the book working against George's strengths.

The unfortunate truth is, F&B wasn't a very good *book* and was never going to adapt well. I don't agree with all of Condal's decisions, but so much hubbub over George's weakest work in 30 years is getting exhausting.
We are never getting TWoW at this point.

Inquisition is such a bitter spot in a series I otherwize enjoy because despite the poor main plot, it's got a lot of good writing. The game just seems to hate the idea of having fun. Chores and farmville timers to unlock missions and the crafting system that made me realize crafting systems suck.

"Bigger is better" is a curse on a lot of games. There is so much content that is just straight up unnecessary and time wasting. 100 hours of Dragon Age Inquisition 2 years ago and I barely think about it. I played Metal Gear Rising for 10 hours 8 years ago and I think about it constantly.

"Bigger is better" is a curse on a lot of games. There is so much content that is just straight up unnecessary and time wasting. 100 hours of Dragon Age Inquisition 2 years ago and I barely think about it. I played Metal Gear Rising for 10 hours 8 years ago and I think about it constantly.
Watched my friend play the first 30 minutes yesterday and there was a 2 minute section where they said "shooting them in the head does nothing!" 3 times.

I played Dragon Age Inquisition for 10 minutes, realized you couldn't equip swords on mages, and never opened the game again. I eventually gave it a try after I enjoyed 2.
