Joe Bob spitting facts and rallying for those who have been hurt by the fascist government is exactly what I needed to hear after a really rough week.

Saw a man walking out of a Dollar Tree complaining to a petition worker that “we keep treating the rich so badly, they’re gonna leave” without a hint of irony.

This is how much the working class has been brainwashed.

It’s been a long day to finish up a long work week, and the cats won’t let me even start one episode of television to relax. I love them so much but damn give me an hour to unwind please.

#lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday #filmsky It’s clear I don’t suffer from genre whiplash. Also Muppets Christmas Carol is a masterpiece of filmmaking.

In today’s #LastFourFriday, you can see the change from “random Wednesday night movie” to “family is here for Thanksgiving all day”.

Two favorites, a ‘meh’ giallo (blasphemy, I know), and the amusing last horror anthology from Amicus.

I have a 2-in-3 chance of my current company being bought by a company that I resigned from. We’ll see what happens.

NBCU spends a bunch of money and effort to spin off the majority of its linear networks, then…launches a new linear network? Sports rights are expensive & they want to maximize revenue, but (per usual) the suits at NBCU are kneecapping their streaming future trying to keep linear on life support.

On this Veterans Day I think of my grandfathers, who on my mom and stepmom’s side both lied about their age to enlist during WW2, and on my dad’s side who was drafted during the Korean War, served through the Vietnam War, and served in Europe with Elvis and had coffee with Eisenhower.

It’s weak, feckless bullshit like tonight that made me decide to leave the Democratic Party and register as an independent. Primary them all.

We’ve been boycotting Target since the beginning of the year, got vaccinated today at CVS inside our closest Target, walked around the store for a few because I was early, and it’s amazing how much everything on the shelves just looked like useless, overpriced crap.

Fun fact! States are not required by law to have or maintain a National Guard. They can choose to organize State Defense Forces which operate like National Guard but can’t be federalized.

I bring this up for no reason whatsoever.

Remember in Battlestar Galactica when the Cylons occupied New Caprica, and recruited humans to be part of the New Caprica police, and they wore masks because deep down they knew they were the bad guys and feared retribution?

I bring this up for no reason whatsoever.

I’ve been cursed with being really good at what I do for a living but absolutely hating what I do for a living.

It weighs on me more and more with each useless meeting, email, and complaining person who makes much more money than I do.

My hope for this #LaborDay weekend is that in between BBQs and beers, Americans remember that it has been the hard work of labor that forced the robber barons and politicians to agree to the comparatively small amount of days off we have in this country. #ApesTogetherStrong

In less than 24 hours I’ve seen two instances of people asking strangers for favors/info (one of they were leaving a parking spot, the other being let in from a locked stairwell), then immediately give the person attitude afterwards. The sense of entitlement people have is fucking WILD these days.
