We are entitled to it AND … it most certainly is a Ponzi scheme; Musk is not even close to the first person to recognize that. A Ponzi scheme pays out (to prior investors) from new money (from more recent investors), rather than from gains on the prior-invested money. That is literally how SS works.

100%. I find a lot of folks on the left would rather be right than solve problems. Telling people they are stupid or racists, even when true, will never bring them to one’s side. More listening and empathy and less lecturing and judgment should be the motto.

Most folks on the right don’t care. If you’re on Medicaid then you’re poor, and to be poor is to be lazy in the Republican worldview. Only hardworking folk deserve help; if you’re hardworking you don’t need help. Therefore all programs for the poor are waste, fraud, and abuse benefitting the lazy. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Studies show that diverse companies are significantly more profitable. Ditto for companies with strong retention. That—not any altruistic or “woke” motive—is why companies implement policies to diversify their workforce and make employees feel welcomed and included.
