As a Yu-Gi-Oh player, I think that Exodia is one of the least interesting alt win cons despite being the most iconic. Like you said, there's no foreshadowing. You have it; the game's over. Compare that to something like Musical Sumo Dice Games where both players are now interacting in a new way.
