I remember choosing Elder Shrooboid over Shrooboid 11 months ago due to it being more of an end game boss instead of the tutorial fight, felt better final evolution for that reason
I *might* also changed E.Shrooboid grass type to fire but I'll see how I feel

Very very rough roadmap plan got the possible release schedule for the "Fury Red Series" of rom hacks?
Please take it with a boat load of salt, the emerald hack might not happen or even the Fury Red Remake. only thing for certain is Crystal star (and even then it could be delayed)

Made this sprite for my good friend @chilliicd.bsky.social character a bit back , was the first time I've ever made a trainer like sprite but I think it came out pretty well

I should really start focusing on some single stage evolution lines, I've literally only done 2 so far out of like 20-ish give or take

Wanted to also again post some more development screenshots of both Goomba's and Koopa's Level up Learnsets.
While they might both not have the highest stats in the world I still want players to enjoy using them so their moveset has some fun options

Small bonus fact - while most characters I’ve draw before I try and do completely different poses, ninji is meant to be a direct remake of this sprite I made back 5 or 6ish months ago

And now two random one stage lines
Mini-Mario - a reward at the game corner for a good amount of coins, while cute they are more of a collectors item then a battle mon
Ninji - A fast/tricky with some fun moves and abilities, obtainable in the early mid game

You play with fire, you get burned
I probably didn't need to add fire to Flame Chomps eyes but I really wanna make them feel like a menace
Flame Chomp also has less defence then regular Chomp and I wanted to try and show that with it being less shiny, Just a fun fact.

Also to give credit where it is due, I used Cresta (@ Crestamorph) as a bit of a reference point when spriting Buster Beetle.
If they see this post and aren't happy with me using their model as reference point they I'm happy to redo the sprite if they so wish

Wait that's not a yoshi
Now's a good time to mention the all of Shy Guy evolutions all has one great abilitie. Sniffit has Skill Link, Anti Guy has Huge power (Thx power plus) and Bandit has Disguise so even if their stats ain't the best you can still cook with them

Mushy, this is barely in line with being an enemy but I like it so we keeping it
While not having a high BST, they are very fast, being able to apply, sleep, paralysis and of course poison very easily with status moves, and of course late in it's life it even gets spore

I wanted to show real quick how me and my friend (Chillii) documate stuff when working on the "Fury Red series"
currently in the early stages of planning stuff for Fury Red Revamped (WIP Name) mostly altering stats and adding abilties (we are completely redoin those) but ye going good so far

One of the most annoying Mario enemies to draw in pixel art, thanks Baron Brrr.
These fella's are late game ice types that can deal a lot of special ice type damage but lack good physical defence, just hope you knock out the target before it gets to you.
