one of the things i felt quite weirded out about threads at first was the fact that your reposts didn't show up on your profile posts tab like they do on twt (and here), and instead they have their own designated tab, but now i've come to appreciate it

anyway, someone said it a while ago, i think more specifically about the cloudflare blackouts, but i think it's true for everything: do not rely on a single service, website, product, anything. as it can soon either fail you or end. always have a backup & alternatives at hand!

i will miss a lot of things from ig/threads, for sure, but it appears that for me that world must become a closed one. i should also probably put on my bio that i'm against genAI, but perhaps here on bsky that goes without saying for everybody
