I am a lifelong Democrat. You are totally wrong. We need policies that work for the people. The majority of people. We want to live in safety and be able to afford our lives. Racism and misogyny are the scapegoats. They are just not founded.

Unfortunately, some of those gripes are real. It IS too expensive and crime is definitely an issue. The soft approach on crime failed miserably. The idea of social workers helping out instead of police was a huge debacle.

Life long Democrat and NYer here, people are tired of the crime, homelessness and migrant crisis. The answers that our party had actually made things worse. NY will continue to turn red until we make some common sense decisions and policies around public safety and sustainability.
