I spent a large part of my life as a gay person in the church being told that my “niche concerns” needs to be put aside (at least for a bit longer) for the stability and good of the larger group.

I was told that “losing” the fight for equality was necessary “for now”.

The collective silence on anything remotely related to safety of women or sports communities in Palestine is wild. We continue to have conversations about women's empowerment in sport when an ENTIRE SPORTS ECOSYSTEM has been decimated in front of our eyes.
