Overall the speedrun space has been a net positive in all of the communities I am in; very different than what they were when I first joined, but I’ve always been someone who is better focusing/interacting with individuals than groups. Still happy to take part and contribute with each community

Hmmmm I think there’s been a burst of new people in the scene I have been keeping and eye on; pretty much anyone from the fatales GDQ crew have been crushing it. Beyond that for performers the newer people are doing great things and look like they desire to get better.

One ESA they literally gave the staff of Hekathon an 8 hour block to do whatever they wanted during a mainline event, with the condition we had a JKA relay race 😂 it is that good, I hope you all enjoy the runs

Massive shoutouts to omega and zero (apologies if I dead name either of them) but to this day I consider them friends and they are the epitome of what I have strived for inspiration of community development and celebrating every aspect of gaming.
How lucky was I to start there? Pretty f-ing lucky

Like in MANY interviews I accredited newbie Tuesday series by day9 as my start, but THIS is where I started casting and learned the ropes; please be kind and realize this was my starting point
I do love rewatching, reflecting on where I came from and why I am capable of doing the things I still do

Yeah both could be decent, definitely get a clear thought on exactly what you want to do, have conversations with runners + couch people, and then talk to production sooner rather than later

I think that tracks; I am always down for commentary advice as well, but games committee and production pretty much know what to expect from me at this point

I am honestly considering this in the future myself because I’d be interested in feedback; i have always done submissions more or less the same but anything from the video itself (commentary, style, gameplay) to the actual game + category for consideration would be interesting to hear feedback about

YES PLEASE DO, I can’t suggest it enough and it’s on steam and free to play; it was just as fun (a bit easier) but still really fun crafting the oddities that show up, and each of the characters are SUPER unique

Always makes me laugh that in lists like these FPS games always have a much higher percentage than other genres; not a single RTS game made the list. I mean no C&C I can understand, but Broodwar and WC3 defined pretty much 15+ years of inspired games besides RTS; not to mention Path of Exile or WoW…
