i tried out highguard on my wife's computer since they hate linux users and honestly as much as i will go to bat for games everyone wants to hate (rip concord), i played two full matches and this is just not for me

i have jumped and yelled more from playing kingdom come deliverance 2 than any horror game in my life. the dogs in this game are completely silent until your view whips around as they’re biting into your ass

i played the demo for a game called neuron activation and despite sounding like a meme, it plays like if nintendo had to design a warioware game that uses the mouse. it teaches you a bunch of little modules to interact with, and then it combines them into a timed board, then it mixes in more, etc.

they should make a game where you open loot boxes, but the act of opening is actually how you attack. just pointing the opening animation at enemies & watching a legendary pull melt the entire group with fireworks & light beams, leaving a trail of discarded boxes, coins, & common drops behind you

i also played the prison of husks demo and i really like the world design and look of the ui and such, but it just did not feel good to play combat wise currently. maybe i was doing it wrong but it just felt like a lot of dancing around waiting for stamina/adrenaline balance in too long of fights

i tried the demo for one turn kill and it was pretty neat. i like it conceptually, my only issue is the card descriptions are sometimes not translated the best so it's difficult to understand things until you do them, and there's no undo/cancel that i could find

the demo for gamblers table completely turned me off from buying the game. i’ve played a few idlers and incremental games now, but if it’s an idler where you don’t earn money offline and an incremental game where there’s literally nothing to do but idle, like what are we doing?

everyone wants to be vampire survivors (cheap, fun, replayable game with hundreds of thousands of players and overwhelmingly positive reviews) but nobody wants to be vampire survivors (regularly updated with constant polish and new content for years after release)

i played the vital shell demo so much that when i bought it last night and launched the game for the first time i immediately unlocked half of the achievements

i tried out the demo for big hops and i really expected to like it more. i found all the orbs and when i got to the dark area, i was kinda hit with this wave of “oh… i don’t want to play this anymore…” that had kinda been creeping up the whole time. something about it just feels off to me
