It's more convenient for them to not try too hard. Just look at the drama around the bowing animation and clothing swatches in Snowy Escape. I doubt they want something like that again. Regardless, people would complain about paywalling representation, so EA prefers to just sprinkles a little of it.
cowcolate.bsky.social
The Townies & Lore Q&A they did in Discord kinda answers it, the goal of the pack wasn't to represent them, so they didn't.

It's possible EA will add a few assets to base game later on, just like they did for Romanian and other cultures, though I wouldn't get your hopes up.
Collage of three messages in Discord from Townies and Lores Question and Answers:

Is New Zealand known for its campsites? I only ask because I was kind of surprised to hear that this was inspired by New Zealand but maybe it's also because the camping features remind me of American camping culture

SimDevHollie, 17/09/2025, 17:13
Gibbi Point is inspired by many places! New Zealand, Australia, and national parks in the USA!

Rach [Game Designer] [they/them], 17/09/2025, 17:54
A few people are asking about cultures; Gibbi Point is sort of inspired by a few areas but isn't a direct representation, so when it comes to representing cultures it's not a direct parallel. I hope this answer helps a bit

To simplify the build, less important rooms and objects were removed or rearranged, requiring me to redo the roof and the exterior. As a result, it gives a slightly different vibe, but I don't mind.
#thesims4 #showusyourbuilds
Three-story house on a rocky hill surrounded by equally tall trees. The third floor and the hill were removed, making the house shorter. On the other side, the trees also got smaller. More pine trees were added to cover to fill the lot. The roofing was redone, and includes a crescent moon shaped lamp which was sized up, and a glass roof section. The bougainvillea returned, the landscaping was finished and the interior as well.

It takes a break to realize the two large objects you can't fit are actually the perfect length, when placed beside each other. For the other large room, I made a pool with the lovely assets from Jungle Adventure! Honestly, that pack carried this build.
#thesims4 #showusyourbuilds
Descending the stairs leads to a medium sized room with two doors, one to a bathroom and another to a large room. A few random objects were placed, such as a pool, a collectibles shelf, a treadmil, a piano, a tunnel, a messy pile of stuff and a weight machine. The tunnel and collectibles shelf fit perfectly beside the bathroom. In front of them, a game table was placed, which is near a piano and microphone. The other room has a large pool which fills nearly the entire space. The area closer to the door has two lounge chairs, while the opposite wall got vines and two fountains.
cowcolate.bsky.social
The greenhouse wouldn't look like one without a glass roof, however the non-square shape made glitching inevitable. That is, unless it wasn't fully glass. Even then, it still looked a bit ugly, so I made it symmetrical and added bougainvillea vines.
#thesims4 #showusyourbuilds
One-story cabin with a wonky plus sign shape. The front has a porch with wooden beams that extend to the roof. A ceilling was added over the porch. The build got symmetrical and the roof had some sections changed to glass. Bougainvillea vines started to grow near the front windows, while the porch got lighting and a treadmill. The area around the greenhouse was fully decorated, and includes a bonfire near two tents, an easel, a large stump and a magical looking tree.

You might've already realized "show all" doesn't show everything, but did you know if you click the magnifying-glass more stuff appears? It might be intended, but I just found it confusing, so I made a bug report about it! #fixthesims

Collage illustrating the magnifying-glass makes more objects appears than the "show all", such as fountain decorations, doors, windows and apartment related objects.

Thanks! it took a lot of tries to figure it out, probably because I usually prefer two floors. Although, the porch is so large you can barely see the ground floor!
cowcolate.bsky.social
Raised the house higher up and used terrain tools to make a small hill. The path was based in the one made by @crackedkyber.bsky.social. My plan is to add a greenhouse to the side yard, along with some tents and a grill.
#thesims4 #showusyourbuilds
Three-story house in a large field surrounded by pine trees. The house was raised up and now sits on a hill. Rocks were added to cover the edges of the hill along with trees and a few bushes. A cabin was added to the side yard, and is in front of a bonfire.

I was curious to make some charts about the sims 4 release history, and thought you would like to see them as well! Just keep in mind the year isn't over yet.
docs.google.com/spreadsheets...
Chart about DLCs per month, which highlights the three more active periods of the year: January, June and November; and how the kits concentrate during the less activite months, such as April and May. DLCs grouped per year, showing the slow decline in the yearly amount of packs until the rise of kits. Basically the same as the prior one, but including all of the releases up to each year, showing how the amount of kits quickly surpassed everything else. Comparison between patches and total amount of DLCs, including also Sims Delivery Express. Basically, patches were larger every single year, while the amount of packs decreased every year until 2021, where they had a sudden spike through kits, and kept increasing, albeit more slowly, until reaching the same amount of patches at 2025.

Oh, it feels so nice to know EA fixed a bug I reported!

Although, it's a shame my other one report didn't get the same treatment, as it seems more urgent. If you're also experiencing that issue, I would appreciate if you upvoted it or left a comment. #fixthesims

Under EA recent bug fixes one has highlighted, which says: "Duplicate Swatch no longer shown for (doorDoubleSliding2x1_SDX037BUILDERTileable3Tile_set1)."

The embed link goes to a message from Cowcolate, posted 5 months ago in the EA Forum: "HBD Sliding Door, from Base Game, has two swatches with the same icon". Under it, there's an image showing the issue mentioned.
From 8 months ago, another bug report by Cowcolate.
Title: [LD] The lot Mourning Mist Manor has an invisible barrier (Mourningvale)

Message: "The lot Mourning Mist Manor (Izadi-Gomes household) has a invisible barrier right at the front that forces sims to go around it. Tested it again on a new save after removing my mods folder and the bug still happened."

Below there's an image illustrating the issue, along with a video.

As if three stories weren't enough, I've added a basement! I'm still not sure what I'll do with it, so I'll probably finish the yard first. The house may be big, but there's still a lot of empty space outside.

To make the bedrooms, I looked for inspiration in the household members skills, likes, traits and story. Can you guess which is which?
#thesims4 #showusyourbuilds
The biggest bedroom has a double bed with yellow pillows that match the rotating moon lamps on its bedside tables. Behind the magical lamps, purple bougainvillea plants grow from the wood walls, and a round mirror completes the moon objects trio. A log sits in front the bed near a chest and a stack of books. Under everything there's a colourful rug that ties the room together. Still on the same floor there's another, smaller, bedroom. The walls are white and a bed with blue sheets was placed in front of some counters, leaving room for drawers on each side. Instead of a log, there's a stacked trunk with artifacts over it. Upstairs, the first bedroom has a single bed with cooking and sports posters on the wood walls and a large wolf themed mural behind a desk. The second one has a darker color scheme and is the smallest one. The walls were once again covered with a poster and a mural, but they are more music themed and most were scratched up. The desk is smaller and a wolf statue can be seen over some trunks, near a punching bag.

From the bug report it seems to be an old issue that resurfaced ever since the burglar update and has been affecting especially builds for both console and pc users.

For me it started after the patch 186. Waiting works most of time and sometimes there's no issue, but I couldn't figure out "why".

Didn't like how unharmonious the first attempt looked, so bulldozed it and tried again.

Since the trees are on the taller side, the build needed a third floor, while the bump-outs goal were to allow accents walls and add more shape to the shell. Ignore the floating room.

I like to break my one pack rule once per world when remaking them, and this nature oriented house just asked for it, as Werewolves has more industrial stuff.

Chose Jungle Adventure cuz they fill a lot of gaps of the other pack and have my favorite wood flooring.
#thesims4 #showusyourbuilds
One-story cabin in a large open area near a bunch of pine trees. The build got three stories, and has a mountain esque shape. It started to get thinner and the colors changed up, mixing light wood tones and a green mossy roof. The shell was rotated and a balcony was added.
cowcolate.bsky.social
oh, thanks! I was a bit bummed I couldn't do more until I realized 3/5 lots are at the town center, so it would've probably made more sense if I had done a shack, although I like how it differs from the original build.
cowcolate.bsky.social
I had ambitious plans for the back before starting the interior, which required more than I could afford. As I didn't want to make the build smaller, the back got progressively emptier, making the shell and furnished version quite different from one another.
#thesims4 #showusyourbuilds
The back side of the factory of the shell version, which lacks decor, has a fenced porch with stairs to the fenced side yard. Some of the windows have glass and the ones from the top floor also have window boxes with purple flowers. There's lighting outside, a vent, an AC unit and the roof is mossy. The furnished version has a trashcan at the side yard and an easel on the porch, but had its fence removed, all windows broken with no window boxes, no lighting, and the side yard fence was replaced by a debug one, which lacks gates. The AC unit and vent are gone, along with the moss on the roof.

I'm starting my Halloween series at the starter lot of Moonwood Mill. Werewolves make me think of a big family, so their place couldn't be small. I got inspired by the shells in this world and made an old factory. It's already in the gallery!
#thesims4 #showusyourbuilds
In a greeny area surrounded by tall pine trees, two fake shells from the world were placed in the lot to highlight what were the inspo. It's a square brick factory with a shed beside it. The building ended up quite similar, but had an extension at the back and got a side yard. The living door has an old leather couch and an armchair facing a small TV over an industrial table with clutter. The main bedroom has two large moon shaped lamps and a moon poster. The artificial lighting is blue and purple, while the natural one comes from the windows and holes in the metal roof. A punching bag can be seen in the back of the room.

let's 'brazilianize' the sims 4! ✨🇧🇷 one city at a time, always inspired by a different corner of brazil. #simmersbrasileiros

a collaborative save file we're building at the brazilian simmers discord server (DM me to join!), and our first town is ready: willow creek, now inspired by curitiba
cowcolate.bsky.social
Both versions are now available! I might also be posting the earlier versions of the shell as rooms in case someone wants to do a shell challenge or something alike.
tiny and big marquee.

The game's not allowing me to post the heavier version of the build on the gallery yet, but the lighter one did.

It has less assets and a smaller building. For example, 5/6 bathrooms were removed, along with two rooms which had their objects moved outside.
#thesims4 #showusyourbuilds
Top view of a square shaped lot surrounded by trees and filled with wavy paths. Unlike the areas further away, the ones near the main building lack trees, and are filled instead with grills, playground equipment, a basketball court and a wedding area. The simplified version has less vegetation, objects and a way smaller building, although because the paths follow its shape, it can still be somewhat seen. A few trees were added to the inner grassy areas to fill space. One of the rooms cut from the simplified version was the bubble bar, which had a romantic theme with roses petals on the ground and pinking lighting. The other one cut was the art room, which had a few easels, a large abstract painting and a kid activity table. The lighting was warm with a lot of sunlight illuminating the room, contrasting with the few blue accents, such as the aprons and a magical looking door painting.
cowcolate.bsky.social
The interior of the building was still too small, but to avoiding redoing the creature, I just extended them one tile outwards.

Even then, the kitchen of the fake restaurant was still awful to fit and gave up on curtains due to high amount of diagonals.
#thesims4 #showusyourbuilds
Work-in-progress shot top view of the ground floor of the building. It's composed of three smaller ones, with the top one having a bubble blower, a woodworking workshop and gym; while the right one has a gaming room, and the bottom, a fake restaurant. Most of the placeholder furniture remained, but each room got more decor, colourful rugs and cool lighting. The upstairs has a large karaoke/dancing room beside an art studio, while the smaller buildings have a lab and a children's playroom. The upstairs got the same treatment as downstairs.

If you want to test out ( for science!) how the save corruption works, take a look at this new post about it on the forum.
The corruption comes from replacing lots basically, and mostly in Willow Creek. That's where it starts.

City Living has a debug version of the Get Together clock, but it's messed up, with a hole around the clock hands on all sides.

Ended up covering them with sized down posters and tried to fix the noticeable difference during night with a teeny tiny wall light.
#thesims4 #showusyourbuilds
The clock before it was fixed, which is tall as street lights, ornamented in gold and with a square head that has a clock on all sides. The sized down posters were placed the wrong way to cover each hole, as their back are completely white. With the clock back in place, it looks much better. Although, it's still missing the number twelve, which the debug version also lacked. From up close and during night, one of the sides has a visible diference between the clock and the poster shades of white, even after placing a teeny tiny light to mitigate the issue.
