Marshall informs me that the heat mat and grow light setup is doing its job very well. She also notes that I do not need to start any seeds that might need that heat mat, as it is HER HEAT MAT NOW, and what's more important? Warm Cat or tomato seedlings? Boots is the poster child for "starving cat". So pitiful. He is so faint from hunger that he barely has the strength even to lie in front of the door in the faint hope of catching a mouse just to put something in his empty belly. Boots says he hasn't been fed in his ENTIRE LIFE. #cats #catsofbluesky

Uh-oh. Boots has discovered and claimed as his very own The Most Glorious and Beloved Ramen Cat Bed with Heating Pad. This is not going over well with Marshall, the former OWNER and resident of the Ramen Cat Bed. #cats #catsofbluesky

Marshall and Boots are having a wonderful time hanging out and alternating between watching their humans and watching the delicious giant BIRDS on the tv (YouTube channel with a very well-stocked bird feeder). It would be an even better time if the humans provided some TREATS to snack on.

I get stared at a lot. I also get meowed (and scream meowed) at a lot. Petting and treats are both not delivered on a sufficiently frequent schedule nor in sufficient quantities, and certainly not in the quantities deserved by such a pretty, pretty cat. Just Sayin'.

Look who showed up at the bird feeder! This little guy is always there waiting and watching when we put out the bird seed. He's been coming around for three years now.

Marshall and Boots CLEARLY hate each other. Technically. I mean, it is the WORST when Marshall gets to sit on the toasty, toasty heat vent this morning. Never mind that Boots sat on the heat vent yesterday. Next time we'll do the gratuitous hissing and swatting, just to keep up appearances, right?

Last night while I was sitting at the dining room table Marshall (former feral) came over and screamed at me for attention. And later accepted and ate a treat in the kitchen. This was the first time she has ever done either anywhere except when I am in my studio (her safe lair and territory).
