Alberta’s game industry is about building a future where local creators can thrive. Events like GDX aren’t just showcases, they’re infrastructure that connects real talent with real opportunities.

We’re here to build lasting impact, not chase quick wins.

This is the big one folks! With over 750K attendees to last year's KDays our team was thrilled to welcome 125K of those to GDX in Hall F of the Edmonton EXPO Centre. Want to be part of that action? Then get your application in ASAP! Indies are not required to be there for the entire 10 days!

I've been deeply bothered by the tendency for game studios to spin up "People & Culture" departments (i.e. HR), or to place responsibility for organizational culture within HR.

IMHO, this is one of the fastest ways to create an inauthentic studio culture.

Let’s celebrate the 7 studios joining cohort 3 of Baby Ghosts! 👻

They hail from Edmonton to Montreal, London to Mississauga. They stand for community, kindness, passing it on, and telling Black stories. Their games are weird, profound, beautiful, and political. babyghosts.fund/news/new-coh...
