3/3 Confirmation processes are the reverse. If there is no evidence, that just means you "keep looking." Confirmation processes are like kids believing in Santa. If we haven't found evidence that Santa exists, it must be because we just haven't been looking in the right places.

2/3 Disconfirmation processes mean that, when we cannot find evidence of a claim, we conclude that the claim is incorrect -- or, at the very least, we should be HIGHLY skeptical of it.

The theme labels have to be true to the data- that's consistent with JARS for qual. If parents are describing their experiences in terms of personal conflict, the theme label needs to reflect that. Mentioning systemic issues should definitely go in the discussion, though.
