Man. I had the wireless variant of this year's ago.
The dpad is a genuine dream. Rolls around super clean and click.
But a persistent issue with this entire controller is how much pressure all tge puts require. Those triggers and bumpers are just bad.

That said it could also be a software thing.
Something as nebulous as an unrecognized drive could have a few different points of failure.

Jellyfin is legit goated. Most any smart device has access to a client of some kind.
Heck, I think my TV can just stream from my file server directly if I wanted.

Does your normal pc recognize the drive? If so, it could be a bad port on the Nas (idk if you have a dedicated enclosure or a normal pc case).
I use a raspberry Pi and an enclosure for my NAS running OpenMediaVault. It's a bit fiddly, but generally reliable.

Not really drama, more just business shenanigans for a game of maybe too high of ambitions.
It sounds like for the initial EA things were scaled back a little with a 10 year plan or something long term like that.
For a sandbox game of this caliber it kinda makes sense.

Haven't dealt with all the UI shenanigans of Godot yet, but doesn't Godot's own internal input handler determine what kind of controller is connected? Or am I conflating that with something else?
