Eeeek. Hit the episode that these subtitles belong to and it's uh, basically those tech bro solutions where we have AI zombies to chat with. Oof

Why yes, our basement is lavender. My niece refers to it as the "purple lounge" which is a name that has stuck because we decided it sounds like a particular kind of gentleman's club

OH OH OH the subtitles have proceeded far enough that I'm pretty sure I'm getting spoilers for a scene between Culber and his Abuela? I guess I'm going to have to... Just remember this dialogue and try to pair it with my non-existent knowledge of Spanish?

For what it's worth, earlier I was watching Lower Decks and the noble officers from cetacean ops weren't subtitled at all unless I turned on closed captions, so we're having quite a day for Star Trek and confusing dialogue

Boyancé's favourite genre of person is "Tiny adorable girl with a giant axe"

I did this... By playing Three Houses on the TV long enough for him to hear Hilda's victory quote "Hilda, Hilda, Hilda". Things escalated quickly from there...

Every time Boyancé rattles off an obscure Fire Emblem fact from a game I played >5 years before he did, I simultaneously cry a single tear of failure while raising a fist of victory for bringing him into the franchise

Opposite is also true for video games. But it's Fire Emblem (which I introduced to him) and Pokémon

This is one of the many reasons I hate AI: It diminishes our emotional reactions to the REAL interesting/beautiful/horrifying/amusing things all around us. The real world is an amazing place and AI is the opposite of amazing.
