Educators in Colorado Springs’ largest school district are gearing up for a one-day teacher’s strike Wednesday to protest their loss of a collective bargaining agreement and what has become what they describe as a retaliatory teaching environment.

The economy for many Coloradans, like Northglenn resident Aubrey Hix, is tough these days.
