Finally finished my 5x5 #boardgames challenge! It was a lot of fun, and I think I’ll do it again next year. It was great having something challenge me to get games to the table.

Wife and I got some work on my 5x5 #boardgames challenge with four games of Sky Team. Played our first game with the base rules before switching up scenarios for the first time. This game is so much fun!

My son and I pulled out a victory against Razorface by the skin of our teeth in tonight’s game of @vanrydergames.bsky.social Final Girl! It was a tough fight made even tougher by forgetting the shifting tiles and letting him get three victims over three rounds! #boardgames

With a little bit of luck, a couple of well placed banana peels (yes, banana peels), and some help from a repurposed Hunter Mark V, Kat was able to successfully fend off the Hunter Mark X and save the kid! #boardgames

Two of the exposed victims died to frostbite, and I got lucky with only one mutated organism. I stocked up on attacks and picked up a flamethrower from the armory to take down the Organism at Station 2891! #boardgames

Had a couple of friends over last night to play some #boardgames. I think we got a pretty good start on my 5x5 challenge. I got a big win in Rock Hard then returned to normalcy with a couple of mid finishes in our Heat championship series. Both are fantastic games!

One of my goals for 2025 is to play more #boardgames, so I’m trying a 5x5 challenge. 5 games played 5 times. I picked one solo game, two games for my wife and I, and let the group decide on the last two. The votes are in. The challenge is set.

The last recipe needed to wait for October because you can’t make s’mores without roasting the marshmallows over a nice, warm fire. I made everything but the chocolate. The stench of the gelatin had me second guessing this recipe, but the homemade marshmallows made a huge difference!

July got skipped because I was already so far ahead of schedule, but I got right back to it in August with my wife’s favorite breakfast sandwich: the McDonald’s sausage and egg McMuffin. Gave me the chance to break out my torch to melt the cheese and got the wife’s seal of victory.
