alot of games are mechanically attached to difficulty. it's why the best doom wads are also hard and why UV is the standard. like devil may cry is straight up boring until DMD as the game doesn't force you to interact with mechanics until that point. path of least resistence lets you do one thing

sure but if someone does this and then says "the games not that good. it's kinda boring and the mechanics aren't really that deep." it's kind of like listening to a book review from someone who skipped half the pages because they get tired after a few paragraphs then cry how it makes no sense.
