oh, believe me, I know. was all I'd ever get in response to any story during that second Stallings season. and, to a lesser extent, about Capel my last season on the beat

I don't think Jeff's a very good coach, but I don't love the idea of paying a seven-figure buyout when you've got that class paired with a few pieces on the current team I like. but I obviously understand the fans wanting it. shit, if I were in their shoes, I probably would, too

the Seattle Sounders, who play in the Seahawks' stadium, use a tarp that makes for a nice-looking atmosphere. remember Christian Spears, back when he was at the school working under Lyke, citing it as an example for what Pitt could do

the people who claim they're longtime Rage fans who get mad at Tom Morello anytime he tweets something get me every time. you bozos really don't listen to the lyrics, do you?

wonder if Forbes might end up being better off at a good American or MVC job, like Wichita State or Memphis or something that seems to be more in his wheelhouse

and agreed on Shrewsberry. I thought he might parlay ND into a top-tier job, but doesn't look like he has the temperament for it

at least three ACC hires I really liked the past few years either haven't worked out or haven't done as well as I thought: Forbes at Wake, Shrewsberry at Notre Dame and Stoudamire at Georgia Tech

reminds me of this lede from a Starkey column from a game (oddly enough, also against Wake) in Stallings' final season. he didn't include it in the story, but Starkey was pretty sure the guy was homeless

true, but when you're a program of Louisville's stature, you've gotta aim for more

if y'all can tolerate an outspoken Reds and Bengals fan, maybe something could be arranged

was thinking about that, too. only one that immediately came to mind was 2006 with what ended up being the Colts-Bears Super Bowl. felt like whoever won Colts-Patriots was gonna win it all. heard someone say that the 2013 Seahawks-49ers NFCCG felt like the SB, but that Broncos team was really good

I don't know if it's any solace to you, but every time I ever hear Bob Kraft talk now, I just hear it in your voice

this is the kind of stuff they warned about for years: masked government goons roaming the streets and assaulting people who stand in their way

there are way too many people who lionize that little dipshit Kyle Rittenhouse, but say the ICU nurse at the VA deserved to be killed
