I'm pretty sure this is a reference to washing a whole chicken or parts of the chicken. But velveting chicken is a totally valid technique.
But that said you're putting water in a bowl and not letting water splash raw chicken juice everywhere. So a lot safer.

2/3 People in these areas aren't in some isolated time pocket. They know racism is bad. The same people who excuse racism, treat the rural issues of meth and opioid abuse for a problem to be solved. But somehow flying the stars and bars is cultural?

1/3 As someone who grew up in a poor rural (white) area I am kind of tired of other white people somehow excusing shitty behavior of my previous cohorts (moved to LA).
It's as if they treat the shitty behavior as behavior that's cultural and can't be changed. As if poor white peeps are babies.

I really do like the idea of a series/mini-series that has more hard science fiction and the aliens finally invade after hundreds of years of travel only to find out we're a bunch of murder monkeys.
Add some bit of humans being are our own worst enemy for commentary.

I imagine the only way to fix Bus Clumping is to extend the D-line to Santa Monica but that's obviously expensive.

Great! I occasionally take the 720 bus to go from K-Town to Westwood and the problem is that often clump up. So you might go 10-minutes without a bus and suddenly 4-buses come at once.
So hopefully this also fixes that problem too! [buses getting stuck in traffic].

The Kei Trucks are actually designed to be used, so they have a low bed and the sides come down. You can actually see children on the street and won't blind drivers. Heck they're affordable so they won't even give a surbaniite a bad loan or lease.
So yeah we won't see them on a fed level.
