Spark Arena Jan 29th 2026 Reviewed by Jeremy Elwood | Photos by Steve McCabe The Greenstone Summer Concert Tour lineup announcement has, for many, become a highly anticipated moment of finding out which eclectic mix of “wow-are-they-still-alive?” nostalgia acts will be rolling in this time. Past lineups featuring Cold Chisel and Icehouse, or Lynard Skynyrd, 10cc and Starship may feel random, but there’s a definite, deliberate logic at play.

Review by Britt Davies Had the pleasure of catching Kokoroko at the Powerstation, supported by local artist Romi Wrights and her full band. It was a sold-out show, but don’t let that fool you! There was plenty of space to move, and move we did. Kokoroko, hailing from South London, are a seven-piece jazz-funk ensemble with Afrobeat roots and a sound that draws from high-life and beyond.

But we walked in just as Ed Sheeran was taking the stage, which, somehow, felt oddly perfect. The GA floor was already packed, buzzing with anticipation, and we tucked ourselves into the left-front area before gradually working our way deeper into the crowd.
