Better characters (Arven, Kieran, Neamona are my favorites)
Better Pokemon (I like Skeledurge)
Better World Building (The DLC especially helps)
Tera is a cooler mechanic then Mega in execution
It can be blander in some places, but it's not as bland as X and Y altogether

As someone who's first Pokemon game was Pokemon X, the game feels very bland half of the time
I like the customization for the trainer, the new Pokemon, the Fairy type, Megas as a concept, but thats it
It's even weirder seeing videos on YouTube calling X and Y peak, like huuuhhhh?????
