My coping mechanism and great passion in life is circus arts. I’ve been doing aerial for about 3.5 years now, and I signed my first professional performance contract a month ago! Eek! This is such a big deal for me since I’m plus-size—plus-size aerialists exist!
A plus-size white woman is an on aerial apparatus called a lyra. She is in a shape called “Star on the Bar” where she is inverted in a straddle, with the bottom of the hoop hugging her backs she holds her hands out and points her toes.
