i don't use max, but I will avoid mentioning the gear. there's probably info out there about how untilted was made that isn't "they just wigged out in max msp." but I don't know any of it. there's some higher pitches at some sort of pickup note point in the intro loop.

some kind of chain of random atonal pitches. possibly micro sampled. possibly not and maybe it's many different little patches triggering. next level of acid. no actual percussion elements, just synth. as opposed to shit like augmatic disport, where I'm gonna assume it's samples

i think having to get hyper specific about scenes to have value is lame, I think jazz sense is oft coveted, and music shouldn't be thought of in terms of being either jazz or not jazz. shouldn't have to require it, shouldn't have to be without it

i also don't like lumping in pilotredsun and my personal goat Koronba into the scene too, if we honestly want to quantify it as a communal thing, they ain't involved with us, contemporaneously or as being in a friend group. maybe they'd like it, I dunno. feels wrong tho
