They have to, in effect, break up with her as well because, even if she hadn't cheated on their son, their son has a right to expect his parents to support him in something this painful/disruptive in his life, and they can't have it both ways. They have to choose, and he is their son.

But this just proves again that the law is irrelevant. They don't follow any law. They just do what they want. And Schumer/Jeffries will counsel caution, not making waves or rocking boats before the midterms... then before the 2028 election... then... (etc.)
