I totally agree! And it is easier to talk about when we're talking about Greek mythology because people don't have as big feelings about it.

I kind of rely on parents to fill in the gaps there with what they want to say. I have been thinkinh anout doing a comparative religion podcast. Though it would not be as fun as GO. I always have to temper my own interest, which is very much on these things, with what kids would find interesting.

That's a great question. My degree is in anthropology so I'm always thinking about this. And we've mentioned it a couple times on the podcast, but I try to steer clear in general only because I don't think it's my place to tell kids what to think of religions old or new.

I routinely opt out as well. Sometimes I have to show my ticket as well as ID, but I have as of yet had no other issues. The excuse they gave you is wild

I do want to shout-out my fellow sociologists, who have collectively created a discipline so woke that not a single one of our introductory textbooks can make it past Florida's censors.
