Pioneers of Open Culture, a report by Creative Commons published in 2023, a couple of years ago, contains three case studies of early adopters of open GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, and museums): The National Gallery of Art, Statens Museum for Kunst, and New York Public Library.

In January 2025, life science preprint servers @biorxivpreprint.bsky.social and @medrxivpreprint.bsky.social updated their license selector, placing CC BY at the top of the list. Just six months later, the number of CC BY-licensed preprints has increased for the first time in five years.
