It will take months to years to remove the bad actors and even longer to repair the damage when the representations we have currently seem to all be performative and have no interest in actually representing their constituents. Its just "we the people" so ... its gonna be a minute.

I mean, maybe in a stable system where things work. Personally my potential future in health and business are tanking because I'm not the 1% or have a gold crown to bribe ... er "donate". The last part seems accurate.

Thanks! I try x.x

I've been trying to point out that we need to put pressure on the people in power that can bring larger changes. Though right now with the current state of things considering whos in power... I think they only care about amazon+ and not small business, or us, or the environment

Yes I would watch this movie.

I avoided social media and art stuff for as long as I possibly could and NOW I'm looking at it, and it's just ... weird how it evolved. At this point its almost like the art is the person and both are up for consumption and critique.

I feel like a lot of ppl assume that if you're an artist on social media you're probably 12-15. I would have taken that as, "I like your art, but I dont know what else to say so I'll go the encouragement route"

Plus ... sketches are so individual and not really meant for public consumption.

Me too

At least your D&D Barbies are awesome and were fun to watch the process of making. Way less dumb from where I'm sitting. If I was still a tiny tatortot you'd be giving me barbie inclusion, which is very smart imo.

Right now it feels like the holiday one shot 5e adventure I made that I tried to give away was the dumbest thing. I made it cause this year was so difficult for so many and I wanted to give them all something... but what is dumb is I cant even give it away. Months of work... illustrated with maps..

It used to be that there would be hardware stores and other places in town but those are gone. There is only those large corpos left. ONLY those. Driving an hour to another town's walmart isnt going to help.
December 25, 2025 at 9:19 PM
Maybe in suburbia or something those people that your mad at exist, but there are plenty of places in the US where its just long stretches of highway or farmland and not any shops to access. I dont know how those people get a replacement toaster easy without online shopping at places like amazon.
December 25, 2025 at 9:19 PM
Hmm well, I dont think my family and I are the people you're talking about. We cant afford to drop 200-300 for anything we dont need. Most of the gifts we got/ gave would be necessities, like socks or a shirt or stuff we made ourselves. We live in the middle of no where too, like many others.

Heck yea! I love shallots. Too bad I live in nowheres land and they're rare.
December 25, 2025 at 3:08 PM
Right now, if I need socks, its target walmart or amazon. There is nothing else. Those are the choices. And all of those killed small business. Maybe in a large city there are options, but rural there isnt. (I dont know why my replies posted out of order but I fixed it)
December 25, 2025 at 2:29 PM
laws or lack of them for small business protection, its having money to make money, its the monopolies, its advertising, add in constantly changing tariffs and shipping bs, and the platforms you have to be on that have crazy fees and take cuts, its AI if you sell creative work, and more.
December 25, 2025 at 2:28 PM
I shop local/small, but I couldn't convince even my mom to not get amazon because sm shops dont exist within a reasonable driving distance, or those that are close dont sell anything needed.

The issues that make it difficult for a small store is more than just Amazon. It's dropshipping, its +

I usually describe him as knock off version of geobbels, mainly because geobbels speeches are considered original while both of them sound the same.

Yeah... I'm seeing a lot about the ToS when I look it up. I never really used X and am counting myself lucky seeing what I'm seeing about what is happening now.

I dont recommend posting any image on that platform, and removing any existing art at this point :/
December 25, 2025 at 2:27 AM
I feel like this is illegal. No option to opt out, striping copywritten images of watermark, etc seems like the platform is facilitating misuse.. though absurdly rich people seem to be above the law these days, so not much anyone can do I guess?
December 25, 2025 at 12:58 AM
Not a whole lot of small businesses left around this small town to support sadly. :/ I still try, but even etsy isnt what it seems anymore. At least there was the local fairs/ markets... but there's a lot of gatekeeping done at those. Small businesses are extremely difficult to have these days.

I'm running it again this weekend for another full group and Im super excited about it. Usually I run a horror game so... this was super fun cause its silly and a parody. If anyone tries it, lemme know what you think cause its the first adventure I've put out there for public consumption.
