I try so hard to curate everyone’s gifts. Records for my brother, expensive makeup for my SIL, nice slippers filled with weed for my mom, my aunts favorite perfume and a basket loaded with international snacks. I just don’t understand why these people can’t see me like I see them. #blacksheep

And it’s not even honestly about the gifts themselves. It’s just hard opening your gifts and realizing that nobody in your family knows you or listens to anything you say that you like. All the adults gave each other weed and I got a firestick for my room that doesn’t have a tv in it. Like?? #family

This goes so hard. People don’t even know themselves and we’re supposed to take them seriously?
And once you learn who you truly are, it’s really easy to spot people who don’t know who they are. It’s reflected in how they treat themselves and others.
