Oh yeah I agree, anywhere else I can do it, but the 2 events I'm trading at this year are very explicit in what they require. Which is fine, as I said to the other person, I'd rather have my own identity anyway with my creatures! :)

Oh sure, but it's the conventions I sell at that need explicit permission in writing to sell anything that even looks like it may be IP'd. So it's better safe than sorry. A general allowance doesn't cut it, it has to be explicitly written to me.

I'm just trying to be on the safe side, as everything I've read about it points to it being a D&D. Plus I have to be careful when I sell things at conventions not to cross over any IPs. Better to have my own identity anyway.

You are correct, although kobolds specifically depicted as reptilian/little dragons are the IP of WotC.
