More from the Life Finds A Way Series

These pieces use the pyroplasticity of clay arrange the flowers in the kiln in a cosmic Ikebana way. All of the flowers enter the kiln pointing straight up and the heat causes them to droop and relax.

For the last month all of my free time has gone to remodeling my house. New subfloor, hvac, electrical, plumbing, walls, toilet room, vent fans… it’s been a lot. Drywall is next week and the we are into the home stretch… 😅

Hell Froze Over

Exploring my thoughts and emotions about recent events. These forms serve as vessels for all my anxiety for what is to come.

Each piece is stacked together with glaze; each one is a house of cards and the universe decides if they survive as they melt.

That one photo is the bisque. The glaze firing kiln was 🍀 luckily not that bad.

Posting using #pottersofbluesky to help people find other clay artists.

This is a cup made with InstaCast Ceramic Foam™️. It casts solid in 5mins or less from liquid to handing/demolded. It’s weird stuff and extremely strong. Stay Curious!

I'm working out glaze details for a new run of sculptures. I always feel like Goldilocks when trying to sort out thematic glaze elements.

Weird Ceramic Experiment #103747

This glaze surface grew tiny bubbles of glass that would pop into shards if you blew on them. It’s difficult to see them but they are iridescent irl. So fragile and beautiful.

Dyson Sphere Lamp - the gloopy planet actually spins on an axis while the top loop is a lamp. This was my attempt to create my dream of the sci-fi Dyson Sphere concept — sometimes you just wanna float threw space.

This is a piece about rituals that was made from walnut and stoneware. The blue mound is a speaker and the pink twisty mound is an incense holder.

Multiverse Jar - Each platform represents another dimension or world. The inside is a lamp, which is my direct way of saying this vessel is symbolically contains an idea. It’s cool seeing it glow, it draws you into it like a blackhole.

Ceramic Urn — #mood

These a held together by glaze only, they want to rip apart in the kiln; the handles disconnect and are barely holding on.

I made these big ugly flowers and I haven’t shared them with the world. I kinda feel like it’s time to throw them on the coffin.
