I feel like a lot of the shallow thinking wrt this kinda thing may have to do with how going along with group thinking is rewarded/safer than tackling things with nuance and being brave enough to be wrong (which could lead to othering/rejection)

I don't understand how ppl wouldn't at least think "is this hurting anybody" and "how does this help/hurt ppl" when considering moral beliefs, judgements and principles. That's like, elementary school dialectics.

or at the very least "sex is malleable" (physically and through reinterpretation of the use of bodies as synonyms for functions), which is downstream of sex being the gendering of the body. until people stop being oneshotted by this concept then there will be no progress on gender liberation
