Today’s #TenMinMerlin didn’t turn up the Orange-crowned warbler or the butterbutts who were here earlier this week. Also, a SOSP spent most of the time eating within 10 feet of me and never made a peep.

Getting reacquainted with old familiar haunts is refreshing when they look like this. Saw 5 Sandhill cranes, my first of the season, just a couple of miles from here.
A tall snow capped mountain is seen behind meadow and conifer forest. Some scraps of snow are in the foreground on the brownish meadow. Cloud banks and blue sky are over the whole scene.

The growers market is open and I can walk to it! The trip over this morning sure felt like spring!
