I am interested in Climate Change, SF (hard) environment, gardening, cooking, and beaches. In many ways an old school left social democrat but politically the climate emergency is my overarching political concern.

If social media were BBQ Shapes, you know sort of moorish and not exactly healthy that would be one thing but it's just a cavalcade of crap. I realised FB was unredeemably awful and the 1 or 2 groups I liked to be part did not make for this. I use Bluesky as a reality check for the Australian media

I can't wait for the Hanson Joyce diumverate. It will be a political movement laser focused on grafting, focus pulling and sheer incompetence.

The state parties are also terminal in every jurisdiction but the NT and Queensland. The broad church Liberal party is finished. The party leadership has jettisoned the salaried professional class. It actively antagonizes Chinese and Indian Australians.

But haven't the rich just gobbled up all the productivity gains of the last 20 years? It's also just another version of "regulations" are inherently constraining. Yes there are profits to be made without regulations on having clean food and buildings that don't collapse.

Yep that's my experience with our new BYD. I've had mid level Japanese or Australian cars my whole driving life and I can say without a doubt that my current BYD is the best car I have ever owned.

There seems to be anomalies. As far as I can work out there are no fast chargers within a kilometre of the Melbourne CBD.

You're not even literal. I wrote "they" when referring to the right in Australia.
